In the heart of Europe, the artist Judit Nagy L. was born in Slovakia, a country rich in history and culture. From her earliest memories in kindergarten, she viewed the world around her as a canvas waiting to be explored. Her passion for art led her to attend a public art school and later, private art studios, where she honed her skills. However, the twists and turns of life led her to earn a Master’s degree in civil engineering, build a family, and venture into entrepreneurship. Despite these diverse pursuits, an undeniable void persisted in her life – the absence of art.

The turning point in Judit’s life came at the age of 40 when she embarked on the transformative Camino pilgrimage in Spain. The 800 km journey not only tested her physical endurance but also sparked a profound inner transformation. It was on this pilgrimage that Judit found the courage to reignite her passion for art.

Today, Judit Nagy L. resides in Switzerland, where she has developed her own distinctive artistic process known as the “IVVArt – In Vino Veritas Art Method ©”. This innovative method involves painting with a unique blend of materials including wine, earth, resonance gouache, and acrylic paints infused with homeopathic information.

One of Judit’s notable works, titled “Reflecting (Nobility)”, encapsulates the essence of her IVVArt Method. Created in 2021, this piece showcases a harmonious blend of real wine and soil, acrylic, and impasto on a white stretched canvas measuring 100 x 120 x 3.5 cm. The artwork resonates with depth and authenticity, inviting viewers to delve deeper into its layers and meanings.

Judit’s artistic philosophy is beautifully captured in her interpretation of Sándor Weöres’ poem, “WHEN I LOOK AT THE WORLD”. For Judit, the world is a mirror reflecting our inner selves. It challenges us to confront our perceptions, embrace our vulnerabilities, and seek authenticity in every aspect of our lives.

“AUTHENTICITY is the absolute key word for me,” says Judit. She believes in the power of self-reflection and self-analysis as tools for personal growth and transformation. This kind of sobriety, combined with the willingness to accept oneself and make necessary corrections, leads to real transformations that benefit not just the individual but the global community as a whole.

Judit Nagy L.’s art invites us to ponder fundamental questions about our identity, purpose, and interconnectedness. “Who am I? How can I become a better me and thus better serve the greater whole?” These are the questions that resonate through her work, encouraging us to embark on our own journey of self-discovery and transformation.

In a world filled with fleeting phenomena and sheer strangeness, Judit Nagy L. reminds us to look into the mirror and recognize the reality within us. Through her unique IVVArt Method, she invites us to embrace authenticity, celebrate our imperfections, and strive for continuous self-improvement.

In conclusion, Judit Nagy L. is not just an artist; she is a storyteller, a philosopher, and a catalyst for change. Her journey from Slovakia to Switzerland, from civil engineering to entrepreneurship, and from self-doubt to artistic liberation is a testament to the transformative power of passion, perseverance, and authenticity. Through her art, Judit inspires us to embrace our own unique paths, confront our inner truths, and strive for a better, more authentic version of ourselves.
